Retirement.  Today, I celebrated the First Day Of School with a few of my retired colleagues.  We celebrated a new school year that we will not be teaching and we've passed the proverbial torch on to new staff with well wishes and hope.   We all have over 25 years into the school system, had successful careers and miss teaching but we are rejoicing the fact that we didn't have to go to the countless meetings that teachers endure at the start of the year.

Prepare our Family Gatherings

As we prepare for our Family Gatherings, it's time to reflect on our memories and to prepare for Christmas and Holiday gifts.  For years, my company has been preparing puzzles for a woman who holds a special place in our hearts, Joan Larson.  While we have never met in person, I look forward to hearing from her in preparation of her family tradition of gathering together for the most unique, heartfelt tradition that I've ever had the privilege to be a part of.
