TIPS FOR USING YOUR PUZZLE GUESTBOOK:

Jigsaw puzzles are porous and writing on them can be tricky if you don't have the proper pens.  We recommend staying away from anything with a small or fine tip, as these can potentially poke through if your guest has a heavy hand.

  • Ballpoint pens work very well if you intend for your guests to write on the back of the puzzle.
  • The Original Sharpie Markers, or equivalent, work well on either the front or the back of a puzzle.  It's important to have MANY markers available for your guests to sign, as puzzles require a lot of ink.
  • We recommend that you DO NOT use gel pens, fine-tipped writing instruments, or highlighters on the puzzle.
MINIMIZING AND ELIMINATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MISSING PIECES:

Guests may not know what the expectations are once they sign your puzzle piece.  We strongly suggest that you place a sign with brief instructions near the puzzle so that your guests have instructions on where to return the puzzle piece.  This greatly reduces the chances of a missing piece.

It's also helpful if you assign someone to instruct your guests on how to sign and where to return the puzzle pieces.  We've found, through our customer's suggestions, that children love the opportunity and are helpful in this process.
