What works best when writing on a puzzle?

When writing on the back of a puzzle, we strongly suggest that you use a medium ball point pen or Sharpie marker. Puzzle pieces are porous and do not always allow every marker to be utilized.  From listening to our customers, we do know that gel pens and the like do not work well on puzzles.

If writing on the front of the puzzle we suggest a Sharpie marker that does not have a pointy or fine tip.  These may poke through your puzzle surface if used improperly or by a heavy-handed guest.

Other considerations include having many available for your guests.  While puzzles are porous they can require a lot of ink from your pens.  It's a great idea to have many on hand so that you don't run out of ink.
